During this time she also taught for Jayson Smart at his Murray Bridge and Morphett Vale studios. There Rachel taught RAD classical, tap and jazz to students aged 3 to adult.

Rachel has over 15 years dance teaching experience and established Rachel McLeod Dance Studios in January 2013. The studio offers a full range of genres, taught within our fully equipped dance studio.

Rachel is married to Glenn and has four wonderful children Eli, Clara, Asher and Hazel.

Our Philosophy

Through my teaching I aim to provide children with the chance to explore their creativity and imagination through movement and the magic of dance. Children who attend my dance classes are given the chance to experience the joy which dance and performing can bring.

Classical ballet provides an important foundation for all types of dance. Children are taught correct technique from the beginning and may build on this in other genres of dance. An integral part of dance is discipline. I believe the self discipline children learn from dance benefits them in all facets of their childhood and beyond.

Teacher Development Program

The Teacher Development Program allows selected students the opportunity to learn how to teach dance classes. Students with great interest, commitment and passion for dance assist the main teacher (this is how I first started teaching at 11 years old). They will observe and learn various teaching methods, techniques and dance theory. Currently, Miss Dana Hansen assits with all Fairies & Elves and Primary Ballet classes.
